Sliding, front entry or bi-fold
Sliding suits a wide opening where there is no room for a door to swing into the bathroom. The leaf runs along a track on rollers and parks over the fixed panel.
Front entry suits a squarer opening where you walk straight in, with the screen fixed and a single hinged or fixed panel forming the entry.
Bi-fold suits a narrow bathroom. The leaf folds in half as it opens, so it clears the opening without needing the full width to swing or the full width to slide.
Sizing the hardware
The number that decides everything is the leaf weight, and the leaf weight comes from the glass. A 10mm toughened panel weighs roughly 25kg per square metre, so a 2000 x 900mm leaf is already close to 45kg before hardware.
That is why the range steps up in stages: 60kg on the GW-SL100, 70kg on the GW-SL200, and 120kg on the heavier systems. Overloading a roller does not fail immediately. It shows up two years later as a door that drags at one end and a track that has worn oval.
Glass cannot be cut after toughening
This is the one constraint worth repeating. Every hole for a roller, connector or handle is drilled before the glass goes into the furnace. After toughening, the panel cannot be cut, drilled or trimmed. If the wall is 6mm out of plumb and nobody measured, the panel does not fit and it cannot be adjusted, only remade.
