Range of dual-speed control
Dual-speed control changes how the door closes at different points in its arc. Closing speed covers 180 to 15 degrees and locking speed covers 15 to 0 degrees, so the locking speed drops as soon as the closer is set up. The result is a door that travels at a sensible pace and then latches quietly.
Stopping function at 90 degrees
The stopping function can be regulated and held at 90 degrees for superior performance, which is what you want on a door that needs to stay open while goods or people move through.
Closing and locking speed
The speed can be regulated further at various degrees if needed. It adjusts down to 3 seconds while still holding the closing speed to over 40 seconds at the other end of the range.
Buffer function
At roughly 65 degrees of opening, a damping force engages to protect whatever is around the door. That force is not rigid; it can be adjusted to preference.

Time-delay closing
The door can be engineered to hold for up to 20 seconds within a set range, between 180 and 65 degrees. It is the difference between an accessible entrance and one that closes on someone using a walking frame.

Closing force can be adjusted by the user, and adjusted again in relation to the door’s overall size. That adjustability is the point: it keeps the door convenient to operate across every scenario the entrance sees, and it adds control to the process rather than leaving one setting to cover everything.

The closer is not visible from outside the door. There are four designs:
