Booking to Handover, Step by Step
If you have never had an automatic door serviced, the unknowns are half the friction. Here is exactly how a visit from our automatic door repair team runs, from your first message to the signed-off door.
Booking. You WhatsApp us the door type, the site location and — if something is wrong — a short video of the behaviour. That video matters: most faults can be provisionally identified from it, so the technician arrives carrying the likely parts.
Arrival and walk-through. The technician watches the door cycle as-is and asks what you have noticed: noises, hesitations, when it started. Owner observations are diagnostic gold.
The inspection. Header cover off, the systematic checks run through the whole chain: activation and safety sensors, controller, motor condition and load, tooth-belt tension, roller and bearing wear, track cleanliness and alignment, and the safety functions — anti-clamp reversal force, presence detection, backup battery.
Findings and quote. Before any repair beyond routine servicing, you get the findings in plain language and a price for the scope. Approval first, always.

The work, then verification. Approved work happens on the spot where parts allow — we stock the common wear items. Every visit ends with full cycle-testing: normal operation, sensor coverage from each approach, and safety functions confirmed live.
Timeline and What It Costs
| Visit type | Typical duration |
|---|---|
| Routine service, healthy door | 1-2 hours |
| Service + minor repair (rollers, belt, sensor) | 2-3 hours |
| Major repair (motor, controller) | Half day, sometimes parts-dependent |
Pricing follows the same transparency: a quoted service rate for the routine visit, and itemised approval-first pricing for anything the inspection uncovers. No surprise invoices — the quote you approve is the bill you receive.
Get more from the visit
Have five minutes ready to talk usage: peak traffic times, who uses the door, any incidents. Interval advice and sensor tuning are only as good as the picture we have — and if you want a maintenance contract quote, the technician can price it on the spot.
One visit also resets your maintenance clock. Ask the technician what interval your door and traffic justify — our guide on service frequency explains the 6-12 month logic — and we will remind you when the next one is due. Any brand, across the Klang Valley, with fast localized response.
