What Is a Telescopic Sliding Door?

A telescopic sliding door overlaps two or more panels on parallel tracks, so a narrow entrance can open far wider than a single-panel slide allows. As the door opens, each panel slides behind its neighbour and the whole stack parks in a fraction of the wall space a conventional slider needs.

That multi-panel overlap is the whole point. If your shopfront is four metres wide but the wall beside the opening is barely one metre, a standard slider can only ever open one metre. A telescopic system opens most of the entrance instead.

How does a telescopic door open wider than a normal slide?

Two or more panels run on parallel tracks and overlap as they slide, so the parked stack takes up much less wall space. That frees more of the opening for people and goods.

Is it fully automatic?

It is a semi-automatic assisted system: panels glide with light manual effort. If you want sensor-triggered opening, our full automatic sliding doors start from RM2,000.

Where do telescopic doors work best?

Narrow shopfronts, side entries and any entrance where the wall next to the opening is too short to park a full-width sliding panel.
